Housekeeper

Conduct daily cleaning and supply of patient rooms, treatment rooms, restrooms, nurseries, nursing stations, lounges, offices, waiting areas, and other assigned areas using mechanized equipment and standard policies. Maintain facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition by washing, cleaning, replacing equipment, and furnishings while removing trash and linen. Operate vacuums, wet mop floors in all rooms and bathrooms, damp dust furniture and fixtures, clean wash basins, mirrors, commodes, showers, and air vents. Dispose of trash, waste, and disposable materials, handle various cleaning solvents and chemicals in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and State Health Department regulations. Report needed repairs immediately to supervisor. Check areas for spills and water periodically. Follow instructions on germicidal solutions and job assignments.
