• •Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
• •Ability to write simple correspondence
• •Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• •Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
• •Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
• •Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

• •Attends and/or participates in trainings, in-service and mandatory meetings
• •Wears clean and appropriate dress per established dress code policy
• •Refrains from discussing resident issues with families and visitors and refers all inquiries to immediate nursing supervisor
• •Knows, understands, and complies with HIPAA regulations
• •Provides 'hands-on' assistance when requested or needed by nursing staff while working in the community
• •Participates in leisure activities provided to residents as described in the activity calendar
• •Serves and assist residents in the dining room at breakfast, lunch and dinner daily
• •Takes on special projects or assignments outside of regular duties willingly
• •Performs all other reasonable duties as assigned or as requested
• •Works as a team player with other associates and management in accomplishing work assignments
• •Always demonstrates a positive and respectful attitude about work issues, policies and procedures
• •Speaks to/interacts with residents showing empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect
• •Communicates effectively in a language that each resident is capable of understanding
• •Maintains a safe and secure working environment free of objects/situations that could cause harm and/or falls to residents, families visitors and associates
• •Practices good body mechanics and safe working habits
• •Observes and reports safety hazards immediately to supervisor
• •Provides assistance to associates when requested or required
• •Ensures and supports a dignified and caring atmosphere for residents, families, visitors, and associates
• •Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly environment for all residents
• •Responds promptly and courteously to resident's, families, and visitors requests for assistance
