Job Summary
Housekeeper responsibilities include cleaning resident rooms, restrooms, offices, and common areas; making beds; changing linens; restocking supplies; and supporting the overall cleanliness of a residential treatment facility. Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for clients, visitors, and staff; clean and sanitize spaces; vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and disinfect surfaces; replenish restroom and facility supplies; follow procedures for handling contaminated materials and cleaning biohazardous areas; operate cleaning equipment and cleaning chemicals safely; complete tasks on schedule; report maintenance, safety, or housekeeping concerns; adhere to Walker Center policies, confidentiality requirements, and safety practices.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform physical requirements including walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting 50 pounds, extending; and safely working from a ladder
- Must pass pre-hire requirements including a criminal background check, urinalysis (UA), and TB test
- Must obtain CPR certification within ninety (90) days of hire
- If in recovery from a Substance Use Disorder, must demonstrate sobriety, self-care, integrity, emotional stability, personal wellbeing, effective communication of needs, self-awareness, and the ability to maintain a low risk of harm to self or others
