Job Summary
Housekeeper role focused on maintaining clean, orderly living and common spaces across multiple areas including office spaces, apartment units, laundry rooms, fitness centers, and retail spaces. Responsibilities include cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming and mopping floors, dusting, trash collection, inventory monitoring of cleaning supplies and housewares, maintaining proper utility settings in vacant units, reporting service requests to management, performing additional duties as needed, and participating in weekly on-call duties. Strong attention to detail, reliable communication with residents and team members, and ability to work a flexible schedule are emphasized. The position requires 1-2 years of housekeeping experience, a high school diploma or equivalent preferred, and bilingual English/Spanish is a plus. The role is Full-Time and non-exempt, with on-site work in Tallahassee, FL, as part of Cardinal community operations.
Required Qualifications
- 1-2 years professional housekeeping experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ability to read, write and follow written instructions, Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with residents and team members
- Strong attention to detail and high personal standards of cleanliness
- Ability to perform physical cleaning work that includes standing, bending, lifting, pushing and pulling (up to 25 lbs.)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work a flexible schedule which includes weekends and holidays
- Ability to complete all assigned tasks in a safe and effective manner, following OSHA standards and community expectations
- Ability to embody the Cardinal Culture and Cardinal’s Core Values every day
- Possess or be willing to obtain OSHA-compliant safety training if required
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to community standards
- Participation in weekly on-call duties when necessary
