Job Summary
Perform thorough cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and trash removal across resident apartments, common areas, restrooms, and offices on a daily, weekly, or monthly schedule. Collect and launder soiled linens, then fold, sort, and distribute clean laundry. Restock supplies and report equipment needs to the Supervisor, while collaborating with maintenance to address repairs noticed during the shift. Ensure effective communication with residents' families regarding care and wellbeing, taking initiative to resolve conflicts for residents, families, and employees as needed. Work in coordination with management to foster teamwork and participate in all staff activities aimed at morale. Maintain current knowledge through ongoing training and education initiatives. This part-time morning shift role supports Cedarhurst's mission to enrich the lives of seniors through exceptional care.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds independently, and up to 200 pounds with assistance
- Required to communicate effectively and identify/interpret written information
- Required to follow all infection prevention and control protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Required to complete a background check and drug screening
- Required to participate in required health assessments (such as TB testing or physical evaluations)
- Required to use designated personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by company policy and applicable law
Desired Qualifications
- Previous Housekeeping experience
- CPR or BLS certification
- Demonstrated proficiency in common digital tools and applications, including Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word), web-based platforms, electronic health record systems, and any HR-related systems as applicable
