Job Summary
Provide essential housekeeping services to seniors, ensuring living spaces are clean, safe, and well-maintained. Perform light cleaning tasks, maintain hygiene in high-risk areas, and keep pathways clear of debris. Engage with residents to build connection and communicate with the Program Coordinator regarding supplies and records. Uphold confidentiality and adhere to professional boundaries while carrying out other related duties as assigned. This role supports the Better at Home initiative by fostering meaningful social connections and monitoring the well-being of vulnerable seniors who wish to age in place.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 10 education
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
- Understand and be committed to terms of confidentiality and sign a pledge of confidentiality
- Undergo a Criminal Record Check
- Possess a valid Class 5 Driver's License (Must have)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with all individuals
- Ability to establish and maintain professional and appropriate relationships with residents and/or their families/representatives
- Ability to comply with safe work practices
- Possesses good listening, problem-solving, and communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in performing light housekeeping duties is considered an asset
