Job Summary
Ensure assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner by following established cleaning schedules and safety precautions. Coordinate daily housekeeping services with nursing services for routine assignments in resident living and recreational areas. Report all accidents or incidents to your supervisor immediately. Perform regular inspections of resident rooms or units for sanitation, order, and safety while wearing appropriate safety equipment when lifting heavy objects. Follow proper techniques when mixing chemicals and disinfectants according to manufacturer instructions. Maintain the care and use of all supplies and equipment. Arbor Hills, a Generations Healthcare facility, offers this full-time role with a 4/2 rotation from 10a-6p. No experience is required; on-the-job training is provided.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Ability to make independent decisions
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to accept constructive criticism
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public
- Willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel
- Willingness to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning
