Job Summary
Conduct general cleaning of common areas and resident rooms, including vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, sanitizing floors, and removing trash and soiled linens. Assist with laundry for resident items, linens, and bedding. Clean, mop, and vacuum floors while disinfecting showers and bathrooms. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety, ensuring all equipment remains clean and functional. Report equipment needs, malfunctions, accidents, incidents, and resident observations to the supervisor or Administrator. Follow infection control, universal precautions, isolation, and handwashing procedures to ensure a sanitary environment. Assist in setting up dining, activity, and living rooms as necessary. Keep housekeeping equipment, storage areas, and carts clean and uncluttered.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum a high school diploma or equivalent
- 1 or more years' experience in housekeeping duties in a long-term health care setting
- Must be experienced at cleaning with a keen eye for details
- Must be able to lift or move office products and supplies, up 50 pounds
- Must be available for occasional standing, walking, sitting, using hands to finger/handle/feel objects, reaching with hands and arms, climbing stairs, talking, or hearing
