Job Summary
Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness throughout the property by cleaning floors, windows, walls, stairs, and elevators. Duties include vacuuming, disinfecting restrooms, mopping floors, and removing trash. This role requires effective interaction with guests and fellow employees, ensuring guest safety and security, and adherence to cleaning protocols. The position entails physical work, standing or walking for the majority of the time, and the ability to operate cleaning equipment and tools. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with no supervisory responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in the operation of a vacuum cleaner, carpet extractor, walk behind scrubber, wet/dry vacuum, ladder, and a back-pack vacuum
- Use of chemicals for cleaning and personal protective equipment
- Zero to one-year experience in cleaning public buildings and/or facilities
