Job Summary
Household Goods Mover responsible for preparing items for safe transport by packing, padding, and crating at customer residences; assist with loading/unloading and inventorying items for shipment; maintain professional interaction with customers and help minimize packing damage. Responsibilities include packing goods into cartons or crates, loading materials onto the truck, assisting with warehouse duties, performing local moves, and conducting pre-drive equipment checks. Requires ability to read manuals, handle heavy lifting, and work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months of related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and interpret operating and procedure manuals
- Ability to lift and carry boxes weighing up to 125 lbs, push/pull up to 300 lbs, and perform physical aspects of the role
