Job Summary
Housefellow and Coordinator of Residential Education at Carnegie Mellon University (Pittsburgh, PA). Live-on roles focused on enhancing the residential experience, mentoring students, and coordinating a meta-curricular program. Responsibilities include selecting, training, and supervising a team of Community Advisors and Resident Assistants; serving as primary university contact and advocate for students in designated residence communities; providing one-on-one mentorship to promote student success; coordinating emergency response and ongoing case management; participating in on-call crisis response rotation; managing the House budget; collaborating with Housing Services, Facilities & Space Planning, Counseling and Psychological Services, and academic partners; and supporting initiatives aligned to the residential engagement model, student staff development, leadership development, and community culture.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Higher Education and Student Affairs or related field required
- 1-3 years of full-time experience in a student affairs role required
- Successful completion of a pre-employment background check
