Job Summary
On-call House Support Specialist for 1st shift (7am-3pm) at a 24/7 emergency shelter. Responsibilities include check-in/check-out, coordinating bed assignments, monitoring house rules, conducting living area inspections, ensuring safety and wellbeing, crisis intervention, and documenting activities. Duties include HMIS data entry, collabo rating with staff, maintaining a clean environment, reporting to Program Supervisor, and supporting client life skills and goal planning. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent; experience with homeless populations or related fields; CPR/First Aid training within 90 days; AZ driver’s license; fingerprint clearance; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; and willingness to obtain required certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent plus one or more years of experience working with homeless populations, substance abuse, mental health.
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field plus one-year experience preferred.
- Peer Certification preferred.
- Valid AZ driver’s license, reliable transportation and ability to show proof of registration/insurance.
- You must be 21 years of age or older to drive on behalf of Catholic Charities.
- Level One Fingerprint clearance or ability to obtain fingerprint clearance; must maintain clearance.
- Must have or complete within 90 days of hire, training in CPR and First Aid and remain current in the certification.
- Possesses or acquires, and maintains, valid Arizona Environmental Services Food Service Worker Certificate
