Job Summary
House Supervisor - RN role overseeing the house float pool and full-time float staff, serving as Administrator-In-House after hours, weekends and holidays. Responsible for coordinating supplemental nursing staff to inpatient and other areas, ensuring timely patient placement, assisting with supply procurement, addressing issues through the chain of command, responding to emergencies, implementing facility emergency plans, and maintaining strong patient and family service focus. This position requires RN licensure in Texas (compact accepted), a BSN, ICU experience (minimum 3 years) with supervisory responsibilities, and ACLS/BLS/PALS/NVI within specified timelines. The role emphasizes leadership in hospital operations, patient placement, inter-department collaboration, and high-level clinical oversight within an ICU setting.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a RN with license in the State of Texas - compact is accepted
- Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing
- Must be a graduate of a professional school of nursing
- Must have a minimum of two year's management/supervisory experience
- Must have experience in ICU
- Must have a minimum of 3 years ICU experience for this position
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
