Job Summary
Oversee house float pool and full-time float staff; serves as Administrator-In-House after hours, weekends and holidays; assist in providing supplemental nursing staff to in-patient and other areas; collaborate with hospital departments to ensure appropriate and timely patient placement; address issues through the chain of command; respond to emergencies on campus and implement emergency plans; interact with patients, families, staff, and physicians to ensure prompt resolution of concerns; support hospital mission and goals; emphasize customer service.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date
- Nonviolent Crisis Intervention within 30 days of employment start date
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of employment start date
- RN license in the State of Texas (compact accepted)
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in nursing
- Graduate of a professional school of nursing
- Minimum of two years' management/supervisory experience
- Experience in ICU/ICU-related specialty areas
- Minimum of 3 years ICU experience for this position
