Job Summary

Supervise day-to-day operations at the site, ensuring Direct Support Professionals deliver services according to policies and procedures. Directly supervise the orientation and training of Direct Support Professionals while managing the prudent spending and documentation of financial resources, including general budgets, payroll, program accounts, and petty cash. Maintain all individual and agency records, periodically auditing them to ensure compliance, and develop therapeutic working relationships with individuals, staff, families, and regulatory personnel. Make and provide transportation to medical, dental, and psychiatric appointments, and assist individuals with daily routines, household tasks, self-care, and behavior management. This role involves flexible hours, split shifts, and weekend on-call rotation, with regular community travel and crisis management. A company vehicle is provided after 90 days of service, or an additional $6,900 compensation option is available.

Required Qualifications

  • Be 18 years or older
  • high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Three years of experience delivering services to persons with disabilities
  • Six months of service in a DSPIII position or six months of supervisory experience
  • Possess a valid driver's license
  • have access to an insured vehicle
  • have a clean driving record
  • need to pass a DHS background study
  • Exhibit basic computer skills
  • Must be comfortable working with Challenging Behaviors
  • Is comfortable with independent decision making and problem solving
  • Displays the qualities of the company's core values including service excellence, you centered care, nurturing relationships, ownership, value in every voice, and authenticity
  • Be available for flexible hours, including split shifts, varied days and times, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and overnights
  • Be available for weekend on-call rotation
  • Must be able to travel regularly into the community and work in a variety of settings both inside and outside the site
  • Must be able to sit, walk, bend, lift, reach, and move intermittently during working hours
  • Must be able to handle frequent problem-solving activities
  • Must be able to have regular contact with individuals, family members, friends, federal, state or county regulatory personnel, other provider personnel, and the general public, who may be hostile or emotionally upset
  • Must be able to be exposed to physically aggressive individuals
  • Must be able to be exposed to infectious diseases, odor, and dust
  • Must be able to work in an environment that makes you feel proud of what you do and work with others who have a strong desire to support individuals with disabilities
  • Must be able to work in a person-centered planning environment
