Job Summary
The House Supervisor is responsible for providing leadership and overseeing healthcare services, ensuring quality of care, and managing patient flow in the hospital. This role includes acting as the hospital's administrative authority in the absence of regular leadership and serving as incident commander during emergencies. Key responsibilities involve coordinating patient care, expediting admissions and transfers, monitoring nursing units, staffing alignment, and acting as a liaison among staff, patients, and families. The position requires sound judgment, strong communication skills, and expertise in nursing practices, along with specific certifications and significant acute care nursing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing
- Current Montana Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
- NIHSS certification within six months of hire
- Five years acute care nursing experience
- Two hours of verifiable trauma-related education annually
- Six hours stroke training annually, NIHSS counts for three hours
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory/management experience
- Critical care or emergency department experience
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
