Job Summary
Oversee the assigned house within the Community Living department by supervising house staff, coordinating services, and providing direct support to residents. Actively participate in hiring, including interviews and orientation, while overseeing annual training, CMT, and medication error compliance. Conduct monthly team meetings, shadow DSPs during shifts to coach and review routines, and manage staff schedules and callout coverage. Maintain 24/7 on-call responsibilities for supported people, families, and staff, ensuring timely responses to urgent care visits, hospitalizations, and 911 calls. Complete daily ICM reviews, submit weekly paperwork by Monday noon, and finalize house inspections by the 5th of each month. Collaborate with HR, Safety, and QE on investigations, fire drills, and corrective actions, while ensuring all documentation, activity plans, and emergency packets are current.
Required Qualifications
- One to two (1-2) years of experience in the human services field
- Residential or Personal Support
- At least two (2) years of supervisory or peer training experience in a Residential environment
- High School Diploma
- Active valid driver's license
- Clean driving record
- No more than two (2) points
- Proof of current automobile insurance
- Maintenance of all required trainings under DDA guidelines and The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region policies and procedures
- Flexibility of scheduling to meet agency and program needs
- Access to reliable transportation
Desired Qualifications
- Associates (AA) or Bachelor's (BA/BS) degree's
- AA may substitute for two (2) years of human services experience
- BA/BS may substitute for 4 (4) human services years of experience
