House Service Associate - PA

Job Summary
Connect with Family Service to identify check-outs, room needs, and areas requiring attention throughout the House. Clean and prepare guestrooms following family departures and scheduled refreshes, ensuring standards for cleanliness, sanitization, and presentation are met. Maintain common areas including washrooms, kitchens, and laundry rooms, while completing deeper cleaning tasks as required. Manage onsite laundering, restock supplies, and communicate inventory needs to the Facility Coordinator. Interact with families with warmth and discretion, offering practical assistance while respecting their circumstances. Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to support the overall operation of the House.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of housekeeping or cleaning experience
- Strong knowledge of housekeeping practices, sanitization and safe cleaning procedures
- Exceptional attention to cleanliness and presentation
- Physically capable of being active throughout the shift and safely lifting up to 40 pounds
- Ability to successfully complete a Police Record Check prior to employment
- Flexibility to work a rotating schedule that includes early mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays, with some travel required
Desired Qualifications
- experience within hospitality, healthcare, long-term care, commercial cleaning or another high-standard environment
- Knowledge of WHMIS and Saskatchewan Occupational Health and Safety standards
- First Aid and CPR training
- Exceptional attention to detail with pride in doing things properly and maintaining a consistently high standard throughout the House
- Compassionate and non-judgmental when interacting with families, understanding that caring for a seriously ill child may leave little time or energy for maintaining their room
- Dependable and self-directed, with the ability to recognize what needs attention, prioritize responsibilities and follow through without constant direction
- Warm and approachable with families, with the awareness to offer assistance when needed while remaining respectful of their space and circumstances
- Adaptable when priorities change, shifting focus easily when room turnovers, family needs or unexpected cleaning requirements arise
- Collaborative and communicative, working closely with Family Service, Facilities, volunteers and colleagues to support the day-to-day needs of the House
