Job Summary
House Physician in the CICU/Cardiac stepdown team provides advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under cardiology attending supervision. Responsibilities include performing H&Ps, ordering/interpreting diagnostic studies, performing ICU procedures (e.g., central venous catheter, arterial line), contributing to multidisciplinary care planning, collaborating with cardiology fellows and nursing/ancillary staff, supporting quality improvement, education, and research activities, and providing patient/family education with discharge planning. Requires MD/DO with board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine, NY license, DEA, and Medicaid number; nocturnal schedule with faculty appointment potential at Mount Sinai Elmhurst and competitive compensation.
