Job Summary
Nocturnal House Physician to join the CICU and 6-bed cardiac stepdown unit at Elmhurst Hospital Center. Provide advanced care for acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmias, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under supervision of an attending cardiologist. Perform and document histories and physical examinations, order/interpret diagnostic studies, and perform ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement) as credentialed. Collaborate with cardiology fellows, residents, nurses, and ancillary staff; participate in quality improvement, education, and research activities; provide patient/family education and discharge planning. MD/DO required with board-certified/eligible status in Internal Medicine and NY license, DEA, and Medicaid number. Faculty appointment offered commensurate with credentials and qualifications; compensation $84,000. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
