Job Summary
House Physician position in NYC-area CICU with cardiology/critical care focus. Provide advanced cardiac care in a 9-bed CICU and 6-bed cardiac stepdown unit, nocturnal shifts, under attending cardiologist supervision. Responsibilities include comprehensive history and physicals, ordering/interpretation of diagnostics, ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement), multidisciplinary care planning, collaboration with cardiology fellows and nursing/ancillary staff, support for quality improvement, education and research activities, and patient/family education with discharge planning. Requires MD/DO, board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine, NY license, DEA and Medicaid number. Faculty appointment offered; compensation package described as highly competitive; Spanish language skills are a plus.
