House Physician

House Physician on the CICU/ Cardiac stepdown team at Elmhurst Hospital Center, affiliated with Mount Sinai, for a nocturnal position. Responsibilities include providing advanced care for acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post‐MI care), performing and documenting histories and physicals, ordering/ interpreting studies, ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement), participating in multidisciplinary care planning, collaborating with cardiology fellows, residents and staff, supporting quality improvement, education, and research activities, and patient/family education with discharge planning. Requires MD/DO degree and board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine with a New York State license, DEA and Medicaid number. Faculty appointment offered with Mount Sinai Health System; compensation package described as highly competitive with an explicit example salary of $84,000. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
