House Physician

House Physician on the CICU team in nocturnal shifts, providing advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under supervision of an attending cardiologist. Responsibilities include performing history and physical exams, ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests, conducting ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement, etc.), participating in multidisciplinary care planning, collaborating with cardiology fellows/residents/nurses/ancillary staff, supporting quality improvement, education, and research activities, and providing patient/family education and discharge planning. Candidates must have an MD/DO, be board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine, hold a valid New York State License, and possess a DEA and Medicaid number. A faculty appointment with Mount Sinai Health System commensurate with credentials is offered along with a competitive compensation package. Spanish fluency is a plus.
