Job Summary
House Physician for CICU with experience in Cardiology/Critical Care; nocturnal only position at Elmhurst Hospital Center within Mount Sinai Health System. Provides advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under supervision of an attending cardiologist; performs comprehensive history and exams, orders/interprets diagnostic studies, conducts ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement), participates in multidisciplinary care planning, collaborates with cardiology fellows/residents/nurses, supports quality improvement, education, and research activities; provides patient/family education and discharge planning. Requires MD/DO, NY license, and DEA/Medicaid numbers; faculty appointment commensurate with credentials; salary $84,000; Spanish fluency a plus.
