Job Summary
House Physician sought to join CICU and Cardiac stepdown units in Elmhurst, NY. Provide advanced care for patients with acute cardiac conditions (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under supervision of an attending cardiologist. Responsibilities include comprehensive H&P, ordering/interpretation of diagnostic studies, ICU procedures (central venous catheter placement, arterial line placement), multidisciplinary care planning, collaboration with cardiology fellows/residents/nurses, contributing to quality improvement, education, and research activities, and patient/family education with discharge planning. MD/DO required; board certification/eligibility in Internal Medicine; NY license, DEA, and Medicaid number; faculty appointment and competitive compensation offered; Spanish proficiency a plus.
