Job Summary
House Physician with experience in Cardiology or Critical Care to join the CICU team and Cardiac stepdown unit at Elmhurst Hospital Center. nocturnal only. Responsibilities include providing advanced cardiac care (ACS, cardiogenic shock, arrhythmia, advanced heart failure, post-MI care) under supervision of an attending cardiologist; performing H&P; ordering/interpretation of diagnostics; ICU procedures (central venous and arterial line placements); participating in multidisciplinary care planning; collaboration with cardiology fellows, residents, nurses, and ancillary staff; contributing to quality improvement, education, and research activities; patient/family education and discharge planning. MD/DO required, board-certified/board-eligible in Internal Medicine, NY license, DEA, Medicaid number. Faculty appointment and competitive compensation offered; Spanish fluency a plus.
