Job Summary
House Parents - a two-person, full-time Flex Houseparents role at Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance to a large group of students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and leading developmental activities, devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off; later transition to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Compensation includes salary per person plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance. Both spouses must complete individual applications for consideration.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-spouse requirement
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
