Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School to reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Prohibited activities: no alcohol while on duty; smoke-free campus; weapon-free campus
- Ability to work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off
- Willingness to relocate to Hershey, PA if applicable
- Ability to pass background checks and training requirements
