Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and guidance for 8–13 students while managing household routines, schedules, medication administration, and wellness. Drive students to activities and lead developmental, recreational, and devotional programs including Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting. Work nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled weekday time while students attend school. Transition to a Placed Houseparent role after initial support of various homes. Both spouses must complete individual applications, maintain a valid driver's license, and adhere to a strict code regarding alcohol, weapons, and campus safety.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
