Job Summary
Two-person married couple will serve as Full-time Flex Houseparents on-campus at Milton Hershey School. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning from nine days on / three days off to a placed houseparent role with same group of students.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
Additional Requirements
- Must be a legally married couple for at least two years
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Two-person role for couples
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Compliance with campus rules (smoke-free, weapon-free, no alcohol)
- Relocation to Hershey, PA
