Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School: a two-person, married-couple role providing care, supervision, and guidance to a group of approximately 8–13 students in on-campus homes. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentorship, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with transition from Flex to Placed Houseparent living with the same student group in their own home. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided; comprehensive benefits apply.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years married for the couple
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to reside on-campus in on-site homes
- Comfort leading devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
Additional Requirements
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Smoke-free and weapon-free campus; alcohol not permitted while on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
