Job Summary
House Parents needed as Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School. Couples reside in on-campus student homes, providing care, mentorship, supervision, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising daily routines, managing student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition into a Placed Houseparent role living with the same group of students. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-spouse two-person role
- Must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
