Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School; a two-person married-couple role residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, supervision, and support for groups of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, mentorship, managing routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement into a single, consistent student home. Relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits are provided; salary is per person, with total compensation reflecting both spouses. For consideration, both spouses must complete individual employment applications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol permitted while on duty
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism
