Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and household management for a group of 8–13 students while administering medications and ensuring wellness. Drive students to activities and plan developmental or recreational engagements, including leading daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel. Oversee budgeting and household reporting, then transition to a Placed Houseparent role with a dedicated student home after initial support of various homes. This full-time position requires nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with unscheduled time available on weekdays while students attend school. Both spouses must be legally married for at least two years, aged 27 or older, and hold a valid U.S. driver's license to operate student home vans.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
