Job Summary
Two-person married couple needed as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and budgeting and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Salary per person is $44,768 (approximately $168,000 total per couple with housing and meal provisions), plus comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year married status for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel
- Ability to reside on-campus in student homes as part of two-person team
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
