Job Summary
House Parents (Full-time Flex Houseparents) live on-campus in student homes at Milton Hershey School, supervising and mentoring 8–13 students, managing routines, administering medications, driving to activities, leading devotions, and coordinating budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and may transition to a placed houseparent role living with the same student group. Requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid U.S. driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, comfort leading devotional activities and Chapel services, and a commitment to a safe, drug- and alcohol-free campus. This is a two-person, married-couple position with relocation assistance provided. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for couples (married for at least two years)
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Residence on-campus in student homes (on-site housing provided)
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; role-model behavior for students
- Willingness to undergo driving certification for student home vans
- Ability to work a nine-on/three-off cycle initially, then placed houseparent role
