Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes (≈813 students) and provide care, supervision, and mentorship, including supervising daily routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Schedule starts with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, then transitions to a placed houseparent living with the same student group. Requires two individual applications for consideration; both spouses must meet age and residency requirements and hold a high school diploma or GED. Includes relocation assistance and comprehensive benefits.Package includes salary of $44,768 per person (≈$168,000 total per couple), comprehensive benefits, paid training, relocation assistance, and PTO.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- Pet limitations: only fish and one dog of approved breeds allowed
