Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School dependents in Hershey, PA. A two-person, married couple lives on-campus in student homes, providing care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and maintaining a structured, family-like environment. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with potential transition to a placed houseparent role living and working with the same group of students in their own home. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-year married requirement for the couple
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading daily devotions and attending Sunday Chapel services
