Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School who reside on-campus in student homes, providing supervision, guidance, and development for approximately 813 students. Responsibilities include daily supervision, managing household routines, administering medications, transporting students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. Initial schedule is nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement in a stable houseparent assignment living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768), comprehensive health coverage, retirement options, relocation assistance, paid training, and PTO; requires a two-spouse, married-for-two-years arrangement with both spouses applying and being eligible to drive school vans. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two spouses legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Compliance with school policies and Judeo-Christian chapel participation
- Desire to reside on-campus in a student home
- Two-person role for couples—both must apply independently
