Job Summary
Two-person, Full-time Flex Houseparent role on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, mentorship, and support for a group of approximately 8–13 students, including supervision of daily routines, student schedules, medication management, transportation to activities, development and recreational planning, daily devotions, and budgeting/reporting. The position begins with a nine-on/three-off cycle, with eventual transition to a placed houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance, retirement options, PTO, free housing and meals on duty, and other perks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two years of marriage (married for at least two years)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and attending Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
