Job Summary
Two-person Full-time Flex Houseparents live on campus in Hershey, PA to supervise and mentor a group of approximately 8–13 students, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive students to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition over time to a placed houseparent role. The role requires a legally married couple for consideration, both spouses aged 27 or older, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Relocation assistance and paid training are provided, along with comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, retirement, and paid time off. The schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with on-campus housing and meals provided on duty.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Sunday Chapel services
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
