Job Summary
Two-person, married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Live in on-campus student homes and provide care, supervision, and guidance for a group of approximately 8–13 students; responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, overseeing budgeting and reporting, and transitioning from a nine-days-on/three-days-off schedule to a placed houseparent role with the same student group. Relocation assistance and paid training provided; salary per person is $44,768 with total compensation around $168,000 per couple; benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA/Meaningful benefits, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person couple must both apply (two individual employment applications)
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No smoking in campus facilities and weapon-free campus policy
