Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents reside in on-campus student homes in pairs to care for 8–13 students, providing daily supervision, guidance, and supervision of routines; duties include supervising and mentoring students, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and participating in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and chapel attendance, overseeing budgeting and household reporting, and transitioning to a placed houseparent role over time. This two-person role requires a legally married couple with at least two years of marriage, both spouses age 27 or older, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; relocation assistance and paid training are included as part of benefits. Prior experience with youth, on-campus living, and a valid U.S. driver’s license are required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage for both spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Valid U.S. driver’s license (and ability to become certified to drive student home vans)
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Ability to reside on-campus in housing provided
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- Proselytizing prohibited during duties
