Job Summary
Two-person, full-time Flex Houseparent role at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Couples reside in on-campus student homes (8–13 students per home) and provide daily supervision, mentorship, and structured routines. Responsibilities include supervising and mentoring students, managing household routines and schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning and engaging in developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and household reporting. The role begins with a nine-days-on, three-days-off schedule and eventual placement in a single student home with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person around $44,768 (total couple compensation ~ $168,000), comprehensive health benefits, retirement options, paid time off, relocation assistance, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfort leading students in devotions and chapel
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Both spouses must complete individual employment applications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Two-person role for legally married couples for at least two years
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- No more than three dependent children in home
- Certified to drive student vans
