Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents (two married spouses) reside in on-campus student homes in Hershey, PA, providing daily supervision, mentorship, medication administration, transportation to activities, developmentally appropriate activities, daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, budgeting and household reporting, and eventual transition to a placed houseparent role with the same group of students. Requires a legally married couple for at least two years, both spouses age 27+, high school diploma or GED, ability to lift 50 lbs, valid U.S. driver’s license, willingness to obtain van-driving certification, and relocation to campus. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation around $168,000 per couple, relocation assistance, comprehensive insurance options, retirement savings, paid time off, and paid training.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-year marriage minimum for both spouses
- Age 27 or older for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Willingness to become certified to drive student home vans
- Comfort leading devotions and attending Sunday Chapel
- Experience with youth (working or volunteering)
- No alcohol on duty; smoke-free and weapon-free campus
- No more than three dependent children in the home
