Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents live on-campus at Milton Hershey School in a two-person married-couple role to supervise and support 8–13 students in a home setting. Responsibilities include daily supervision and mentoring, managing household routines and student schedules, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, and overseeing budgeting and reporting. The role starts with a nine-on/three-off duty cycle, transitioning to a placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include salary per person, relocation assistance, and comprehensive benefits. Requires on-campus residency, on-site supervision, youth experience, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license with the ability to drive student vans.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and Sunday Chapel services
