Job Summary
Full-time Flex Houseparents for Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. Married couples reside in on-campus student homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, and lead activities, devotions, and daily routines. Schedule begins with nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual placement as a Houseparent living in the same student home. Responsibilities include supervision, medication administration, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, leading daily devotions, Sunday Chapel, budgeting, and household reporting. Benefits include salary per person ($44,768) with total compensation for a couple around $168,000, relocation assistance, comprehensive benefits, and paid time off; requires relocation to Hershey, PA and compliance with campus policies. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience working with youth
- Two-year minimum requirement for both spouses
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
Additional Requirements
- Two-person couple must be legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children in the home
