Job Summary
Two-person married couple sought as Full-time Flex Houseparents at Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA. The role involves residing in on-campus student homes to provide care, mentorship, supervision, and support for 8–13 students, managing household routines, administering medications, driving students to activities, planning developmental and recreational activities, and leading daily devotions with Sunday Chapel. Initially nine consecutive days on duty followed by three days off, with eventual transition to a Placed Houseparent living with the same group of students. Benefits include a per-person salary of $44,768 plus comprehensive benefits, relocation assistance, paid training, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Two-person role for married couple
- Legally married for at least two years
- Spouses must be age 27 or older
- Valid U.S. driver’s license
- Ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol while on duty
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- Willingness to reside on-campus with students
- Ability to lead daily devotions and Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services
- Prolonged standing and caregiving responsibilities
- Ability to pass background checks and program-specific trainings
