Job Summary
Two-person married-couple Full-time Flex Houseparents live on Milton Hershey School campus in Hershey, PA to supervise 8–13 students in on-campus homes, provide care, guidance, supervision, and support, manage household routines and student schedules, administer medications, drive to activities, lead daily devotions and Sunday Chapel, oversee budgeting and reporting, and transition to a placed Houseparent role with a nine days on / three days off working cycle; benefits include relocation assistance, paid training, comprehensive insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
Required Qualifications
- Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- Commitment to a smoke-free and weapon-free campus; no alcohol on duty
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students
