Job Summary
Provide daily supervision, mentorship, and care for 8–13 students in an on-campus home while managing household routines, schedules, and budgeting. Administer medications, drive students to activities, and lead devotions and chapel services. Plan and engage in recreational activities to foster academic, emotional, and social development. Transition from supporting multiple homes to a dedicated Placed Houseparent role after initial placement. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and commitment to a smoke-free, alcohol-free environment.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working or volunteering with youth
- This is a two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years
- Both spouses must be age 27 or older
- No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Desired Qualifications
- Comfort leading students in daily devotions and accompanying them to Judeo-Christian Sunday Chapel services (proselytizing prohibited)
